Dalam catatan Andaya dikatakan: Two-thirds of Bangka was under the control of either Arung Mappala or Sultan Anum (Andaya, 1993:187).
Hello..mystery lovers...this time it's not the beauty of the natural panorama that we are promoting. For those of you who like to explore the strange, come here... to the snake reef of Tanjung Ular which the locals call Kosak. it is said that the coral reefs in the sea are inhabited by hundreds or even thousands of sea snakes. strangely not every time these snakes we can see. But there have been local people who have encountered these snakes.
According to history, during the time of Sultan Abdurrahman (1659-1706), the Bangka island region with the status of Sindang Merdeka (Vryheren) was required to develop pepper (Sahang), Gambir and cotton plants. However, during the time of Sultan Muhammad Mansyur Jayo Ing Lago (1702-1711) along with the exploitation of Tin, because it was selling well in the world market, the policy of the Sultanate of Palembang for the island of Bangka was changed with an emphasis on the Tin mining sector.
During the time of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I (1724-1757) his authority over the island of Bangka was threatened by his older brother Sultan Anom Alimuddin who built power in Kubak (Stocade of Koba) (1722-1732), and his son Raden Klip built a fort in Pakuk (Paku). , and his ally Arung Mapala, Makassar nobles built a fort on top of the coral reefs at Tanjoeng Ular.
Andaya's notes say: Two-thirds of Bangka was under the control of either Arung Mappala or Sultan Anum (Andaya, 1993: 187).
